What is detroit.games?
detroit.games is a browser-based multiplayer card game platform, with euchre released first. The goal is simple: a clean, modern place to play the to that frustration card game people grew up with, without the clutter, paywalls, or friction that most online card game sites come with.
We started with Euchre, a game with deep roots in the Midwest and Great Lakes states. If you grew up in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, or anywhere around the Great Lakes, there's a good chance Euchre was on the table at family gatherings and in the back of the school bus. It deserved a home online that does it justice.
The existing sites are either outdated, ad-heavy in ways that break the experience, or buried under features nobody asked for. detroit.games is the answer to that frustration, built the right way, from the ground up.
Our values
- Quick sign-in, no friction. Sign in with Google, Facebook, or play as a guest. An account unlocks additional features including: private games with friends, invite codes with a custom URL so your friends can join your game quickly.
- Clean UI that stays out of the way. The cards are the focus. Everything else is secondary.
- Play your way. Solo mode pits you against bots when you want a quick game. Multiplayer uses bots to fill empty seats so games never stall waiting for a fourth.
- Multiple variations. Standard 4-player and Cutthroat 3-player are live, plus house rules like Stick the Dealer and Ace No Face.
- Works on any device. Desktop, tablet, or mobile, no install required, no app store needed.
- Honest about how it's supported. The site is ad-supported. We're transparent about that and committed to keeping ads from affecting gameplay. There are no full screen ads and no hidden close buttons.
Advertising & subscriptions
detroit.games is ad-supported. Ads are how we keep the platform running and the games accessible without charging players to get in the door. We take care to ensure ads don't interrupt gameplay or affect the experience at the table.
Ad revenue will never affect game outcomes, matchmaking, or any aspect of how the game itself works.
